do not know where to post this but i like to hear your views on what you think had the biggest impact on humans.
for me, 2 things:.
music: every human listens one way or another to music and will likely have some sort of emotion.
Not to be negative but I believe the biggest impact on humans is hatred of one another. The reason I say this is the vast amount of money and human energy spent on killing each other though out history. Just think what this world would look like if all that money and energy was used for making humans life better.
But maybe thats only way mankind could advance was by killing others. I know, I know what a lousy thought. But you did ask. Still Totally ADD
i guess the question which is the hardest to give up smoking or alcohol.
many folks gave up smoking in the 70's including me but i have known some hard drinking brothers and if consuming any kind of alcohol became a df offense, i wonder.....
If they stop drinking of alcohol in the cult they would lose half of their people. Lol. Still Totally ADD
i would like to remind those folks younger than i that it was very few years ago when almost the entire planet earth was run by and for the benefit of men.women have throughout history been the property of men.due to religious restrictions, teachings, and fundamentalist doctrines, women in the largest societies on earth right now (muslim, chinese, n.korean) have almost no human rights at all.next year, in june, women will, for the 1st time, be allowed in arabia to drive---but--only if they are 30 years old or older, and for only a few hours per day!the old testament laws (read through them sometime) are horrifying reflective of prejudice toward gender, bodily cleanliness, guilt-tripping, and anonymity.

Since when our elders school 5 days long? When I was in I could hardly stand the 2 day weekend elder school. Maybe the extra days are to teach them how to squeeze more money out of the flock. Still Totally ADD
i once asked my dad why, with all the power the wt insists on having so much control over its adherents' lives, they don't provide information about healthy eating habits or, like the adventists, wilderness training.
i mean, the gb encourage people to remain poor, and poverty is known to correlate with health outcomes, particularly those that are diet related.
i'd say most witnesses i knew over the age of 40 were overweight, had high blood pressure, heart problems, gastrointestinal issues, one kind of cancer or another (no doubt a result of eating their feelings if you ask me).
When I was in I often wondered about this issue. As I look back now the only thought I have is a unhealthy person is a person who is easier to control. Fighting illness often makes you feel mentally depressed and that causes you to think more of the Borg doctrine on how Satan is causing your problems and the only hope you have is the new system.
Just think what the Borg would look like if they encourage education and healthy living? It would be on par with the Mormon's. so im walking through town today on my lunchbreak and spot the unmistakable walk of my younger brother.

our kingdom hall was in a boring town of 30,000 people so to spice things up me and some special pioneers living with us decided to have a fancy dress up party!

Use a Bible theme like dressing up in burned or tattered clothing with red paint splatter on it to represent blood. Then you can lay on the floor in all kinds of horrible position's showing what it will look like after Armageddon. To make it more realistic get some fat stuffed birds. Showing them pecking out someone's eye's. If anyone complains just tell them we are enacting a scene you saw in one of their publication. Still Totally ADD
i recently had to accompany an older family member out of state to a family reunion.
it was a big reunion and not much was overtly made of the fact that i am "misguided" and not attending meetings (lost soul that i am) which was nice.
the thing i noticed that i was most struck by was all the dietary quirks in evidence during our 3 days together.
My parents back in the mid 60' s would have a D.O. stay at our home. He was a guest at there house for several years. At the end of the week he would always ask for a very large glass of vodka. Enough to put down a horse. Now that's what I call a special diet. Lol Still Totally ADD

One thing I have notice sense leaving the cult is I am much more healthier now. I loss weight and I am much stronger. I feel one of the big reasons is STRESS. Leaving the cult has eliminated all that stress and without stress our bodies are able to heal. Just another thought on what it takes to live better and what may be going on in the borg.
